This design is a lot easier than it may look at first glance.

The face is cut from one piece of timber which is divided up to give all those wrinkles. As they were cut from one piece of timber they will all fit back together again beautifully.

The perfect joins between the different coloured woods in the beard are done with double cutting. This is explained fully in the book but it's not rocket science so you won't have any difficulty.

This download pattern is a complete chapter from the book Intarsia Down Under.

If you want a paper version you'll have to buy the book. But you will get 8 other patterns as well.

But don't take our word, check out some of our Customer's Finished Swaggy Projects.

Finished Intarsia Size:
340mm x 270mm (14" x 11")

Number of Pieces:
87

Don't get hung up on the 87 pieces. Initially all you have to fit together is 30 pieces. The rest of them are created when you divide up these larger sections with your saw. And of course all these smaller pieces fit together perfectly because of how they were cut out.

Plan Size:
A3 - 420mm x 297mm (17" x 12")

This is a small section of the very detailed computer drawn plan that will guide you through the construction process along with step by step photos and instructions.
