Customer's Dunny Intarsia Projects

I called this intarsia woodwork design "Backyard Contemplation" which was very pretentious of me. Vainly trying to add a touch of class to a design that everyone one calls "The Dunny". Australian slang for the toilet down the back garden.

As usual customer's have taken the design and done their own thing with it.

Gordon says, A magnificent close up showing the addition of an Australian icon, the notorious red back spider.Another of Peter's excellent interpretations.Bill really went to town on this one. A great pumpkin crop and the chopping block that is always down near the outhouse. And look at that magnificent frame.
Gordon likes to add painted touches of colour.I'm happy to see that Daryl, from the USA, has, at long last, fixed the hinges on the dunny door.Daryl as also got out his pyrograph and added some text to the newspaper. Good idea. Here I am again, sneaking in another one of my images.

If you've enjoyed these photos but think your own work is better, why not send me your images and I'll add them to a gallery.

Most of these photos were taken by woodworkers. The quality, as you will see, varies from "not too bad" to "not very good".

Taking good photos of your work is not rocket science and well worth the small amount of effort required. Your basic digital camera is fine if you get the lighting correct. Learn how with this "Taking Good Product Shots" article.
